What are the advantages of compliancy with the DDA?
Premises which are made more accessible for disabled people will be more convenient for everyone. Not only will disabled people benefit from the improved accessibility of your service � elderly people, people with children in prams, people carrying luggage or even people with temporary impairments (e.g. on crutches) will also gain the advantage.
It is a fact that between 14-24% of the population has a disability or is closely involved with a disabled person. That is approximately a quarter of all potential customers or employees. The improvements as required by the DDA will benefit them and encourage them to do business with you.
When providing facilities and services for disabled people-
